PLYMOUTH, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — The snow has started to fly in many areas of the state, especially in the southeast, although there are some parts along the coast where the changeover from rain has not yet begun.

In Plymouth, WBZ's Jim MacKay reports after a rainy start, there has been the switch to all snow.

He said utility trucks and crews are standing by in case they are needed to restore any lost power. He was also talking to shoppers at the local Market Basket.

This resident said he already had his storm-related necessities such as batteries, rock salt, and shovels. But for now, he was just shopping for incidentals. "I've got everything I need for the storm back at the house," he said. "I just needed berries and cheese..."

WBZ's Jim MacKay (@JimMacKayOnAir) reports.
