BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A Wind Advisory is in effect across Massachusetts on Tuesday, and the state can expect subfreezing temperatures through Thursday.

The National Weather Service issued the advisory until 5 p.m. Tuesday. Winds will consistently be around 15-30 mph, with some gusts up to 55 mph, or even 60 mph in higher elevations.

The NWS is encouraging residents to secure loose objects outside, and for drivers to use extra caution on bridges and overpasses.

The Boston area can expect an additional 1-3 inches of snow on Thursday, before warming up a bit on Friday.
