Painting On Pot: Artist Creates Workshop For Weed Lovers

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — On the third floor of a warehouse, above a brewery, artist Stan Rodriguez set up paintings that were used as examples for his first art class.

Rodriguez has found a way to combine his two passions — marijuana and painting.

He was recently inspired to create Cloud Paint, an experience where people can enjoy some green before really exploring the palette.

“We make sure that everybody brings their own weed,” Rodriguez said. “I give them the paint, the brushes, the easel, the canvas.”

By holding the workshop in Dorchester, Rodriguez wants to highlight the community and the people who live there.

“I consider myself a productive smoker,” Rodriguez said. “I realized that I can smoke weed, and have a day job and still have a side hustle where it’s also my hobby, something that I love to do.”

Participants do not have to smoke to sign up for Cloud Paint, but it is encouraged.
