BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Easter is one of the busiest times of the year for candy shops.
From chocolate Easter bunnies to candy Easter eggs to jelly beans, just about everyone has their favorite Easter sweet.
At Boston's Petrova Chocolates, their bonbons are normally the big sellers year-round.
But this time of year, it's all about their chocolate bunnies and candy eggs.
Petrova co-owner Ahmet Basarir described the ingredients in their Easter offerings like chocolate bunnies and more. "We have handmade chocolate bunnies filled with passion fruit marshmallow," he said. "Or German chocolate cake with coconut caramel and pecans."
Basarir said Easter puts a smile on his face because he knows people are enjoying the treats that Petrova Chocolates creates. "We also have chicken egg-size Snickers, mini-quail eggs, and a chocolate piñata egg filled with artisan truffles."
Basarir said the German chocolate cake is so popular that it's already sold out online, but it is still available at their locations in the North End and East Boston.
