A shooting incident in New York City's Times Square early Saturday (August 9) left three people injured. According to the New York City Police Department (NYPD), the incident occurred around 1:20 a.m. at the intersection of 44th Street and 7th Avenue after a verbal dispute escalated.
A 17-year-old boy allegedly pulled out a gun and opened fire, injuring three individuals. The victims include an 18-year-old woman who was grazed in the neck, a 19-year-old man shot in the right foot, and a 65-year-old man hit in the left leg. The argument reportedly involved the suspect and the 19-year-old man.
Two nearby police officers quickly responded to the scene, arresting the teenage suspect and recovering a firearm. The NYPD has not released the suspect's name, and charges are pending. All three victims were transported to Bellevue Hospital, where they are reported to be in stable condition. The police confirmed that no other suspects are wanted in connection with the shooting.
