Alexis "Lexi" Lagan, a 31-year-old athlete from Boulder City, Nevada, is set to represent the United States in the Air Pistol events at the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games. This will be her second appearance at the Olympics, having previously competed in the Tokyo 2020 Games.

Born on January 25, 1993, Lagan initially planned to attend Brigham Young University but made a last-minute decision to join the physics program at the University of Utah. This decision led her to join the university's marksmanship club, where she met her air pistol coaches Elwood Powell and Matt DeLong. Despite having no prior experience in the sport, Lagan quickly developed a passion for shooting and decided to pursue it professionally.

In 2015, Lagan set her sights on becoming an Olympian. She started competing in national tournaments and was named an alternate for Team USA at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio. Although she did not compete, the experience fueled her determination to make it to the Tokyo 2020 Games.

Lagan's journey to the Olympics was not without challenges. After securing her spot on the Olympic team in March 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic led to a year-long delay of the Tokyo Games. Despite the setback, Lagan used the extra time to prepare and eventually competed in the 10m Women's Air Pistol event in Tokyo, finishing just 22 points below the podium.

Now, Lagan is preparing for her second Olympic appearance in Paris. She is excited to compete without the shadow of a global pandemic and looks forward to experiencing the full scale of the Olympic Games. After the competition, Lagan plans to explore Paris with her family and support other Team USA athletes.

Off the shooting range, Lagan enjoys camping, hiking, and spending time with her corgi, Guinevere. She also has a talent for singing and has received a medal from the White House for performing the National Anthem at over 150 events.
