The Texas Rangers have reportedly landed one of the top prized free agents on the offseason market.

ESPN's Jeff Passan reports the Rangers have reached an agreement with shortstop Corey Seager on a 10-year, $325 million deal, sources familiar with the negotiations confirmed.

The 27-year-old has batted .295/.364/.504 with 100 home runs in 609 total games since 2016, emerging as one of baseball's top offensive shortstops, despite missing considerable time due to injuries.

The two-time All-Star (2016, 2017) underwent season-ending Tommy John surgery in May 2018, which was later followed by arthroscopic hip surgery three months later and a disappointing 2019 season, which saw his OPS drop to .817, despite hitting 44 doubles.

Seager bounced back during the COVID-19-shortened 2020 MLB season, batting .307/.358/.585 with 15 home runs in 52 regular season games, while contributing to the Los Angeles Dodgers' first World Series championship in 32 years as the series MVP.

Seager experienced a slow start during the 2021 season before fracturing his right hand on May 15 and missing nearly 11 weeks, however, saw a turnaround after returning to action in July, which included hitting for a 1.019 OPS with 28 extra-base hits during his final 56 games.
