McKinnon’s In Danvers Closes After Employees Test Positive For COVID-19

DANVERS, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Some employees at McKinnon’s Supermarket in Danvers have tested positive for COVID-19 on Holten Street.

The store will be closed Tuesday, May 26. They hope to reopen on Wednesday, May 27.

“The closure will allow us to have all employees tested and cleared to work, and allow us to have the store professionally sanitized, and the deep cleaned,” McKinnon’s said in a statement.

The announcement came on Memorial Day, after the store had closed for the day.

The store said all employees will be tested and monitored for symptoms, as well as have their temperatures checked before their shift.

It’s currently unclear how many employees tested positive. WBZ NewsRadio has reached out to management for comment.
