WATCH: Harvard Employee Accused Of Harassing Neighbor

CAMBRIDGE (WBZ-AM) -- A Harvard employee accused of harassing a Cambridge neighbor is apologizing for what she herself calls her "inappropriate and wrong" interaction with the woman. The apology comes after a video of the encounter that went viral.

In a post accompanying the video, which has been viewed a million times since Saturday, Alyson Laliberte wrote that she and her young daughter were drawing with chalk outside their apartment at 4 p.m. when she was approached by Theresa Lund, who complained that her kids couldn't sleep.

The video begins with Lund glaring at Laliberte, and then asking, "Are you in one of the affordable units? Or are you in one of the Harvard units?" Laliberte suggests the question is prompted by the fact that her daughter is biracial.

In her email, Lund says she's terribly sorry, and that she had no right to ask what kind of unit LaLiberte lives in.

Lund, who heads up the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative, has not responded to WBZ NewsRadio 1030's request for comment.
