President Trump says 9-11 is "seared into our soul." Speaking at the Pentagon on the 18th anniversary of the 9-11 terror attacks, Trump recalled being at work at Trump Tower on that fateful morning in 2001. He said he quickly realized that the world was going to change. Trump noted that the lives of the families of the nearly three-thousand victims were forever changed. He said 9-11 was a testament to American strength and perseverance. One-hundred-eighty-four people died when one-of-four hijacked airliners slammed into the Pentagon.
Trump said America's iron will and spirit are unbreakable. He warned international terrorists that any future attacks would be met with an unprecedented U.S. military response. Trump also praised first responders who rushed to help the injured and search for survivors in New York City and at the Pentagon. Trump said victims will "never, ever be forgotten."
