Up To Six Inches Of Snow Expected Overnight

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — As Massachusetts residents continue to stay indoors amid the coronavirus pandemic, a winter weather advisory is in effect for many parts of the state.

Rain is expected to turn to snow late Friday night into Saturday morning, sticking to road surfaces at higher elevations, according to the National Weather Service.

Boston and the surrounding areas will see less than three inches overnight, but Worcester and the western half of the state are expected to get four to six inches before the precipitation turns to rain Saturday morning.
