BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The National Weather Services says that Boston saw it's second warmest winter in station history this past season. This is for the months of December, January, and February.
This is also the 17th least snowiest winter for Boston.
The National Weather Service says that temperatures in the winter are normally around 31 degrees. This year, they were closer to 40 degrees — the mean temperature being 37.7 degrees.
Warmer weather is expected to continue this week. Tuesday is expected to hit 60 degrees. The high on Wednesday is expected to hit 55 degrees with most sunny skies.
The National Weather Serivce is predicting that temperatures will "continue to trend above normal" through mid-March for Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.
