WATCH: Bruins Loved Seeing Edelman Chug Beer During Game 7

BOSTON ( WBZ NewsRadio) — Wearing a David Pastrnak jersey, New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman was living his best life during Game 7 at TD Garden Tuesday.

The Superbowl MVP who frequently attends Bruins and Red Sox games made it known to fans attending the game that he was in the crowd.

He joined fans in the seats prior to the game to wave the fan banner.

Then in the first period he was shown on the Jumbotron chugging a beer, which made everyone in attendance go wild.

And while Edleman's vibe in the building stood out Tuesday night, it definitely rubbed off on the team according to Bruins Head Coach Bruce Cassidy.

"Julian Edelman chugging a beer was awesome," Cassidy said after the game. "It probably got everyone fired up, including us. Good for him. We'll return the favor at some point down the road."

It's the third time in the last seven years that the Bruins knocked Toronto out of the playoffs in a Game 7, with last night's 5-1 finish at the Garden.

The Bruins have bested the Leafs in six straight postseason series.

Bruce Cassidy's been on the winning side of both his Game 7 opportunities as a head coach, but the vibe in the building last night stood out - helped by a special guest from the Patriots.

Bruins will host the Columbus Blue Jackets tomorrow to open the conference semifinals.
