Driver Arrested After Crash With School Van Crash in Revere

REVERE, Mass (WBZ NewsRadio) — A 45-year-old Revere woman was arrested on OUI after striking a school van with students on board Friday.

Massachusetts State Police say that the crash happened at Eliot Circle in Revere next to Revere Beach just after 1 p.m.

Kerry Grasso was charged with OUI and marked lanes violations, after police say she sideswiped the school van, which was owned and operated by Northeast Metropolitan Regional Vocational High School.

Ten students and one instructor were on board the van at the time of the crash. Police say the instructor was driving the van.

Officials say two students were checked out by medical personnel as a precaution. One student was later brought to Massachusetts General Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
