Meghan Markle Went To Canada Without Prince Harry

Meghan Markle has reportedly embarked on her first solo trip abroad since her wedding to Prince Harry in May. The Duchess of Sussex jetted off to Toronto, where she lived for seven years while filming the T.V. show Suits, without the Duke of Sussex in tow. According to Royal Central, Kensington Palace sent a letter to the Air Canada staff requesting that no one take Meghan’s picture or approach her during the flight.

This is an unofficial trip, so, Meghan's itinerary in Canada has not been made public by Kensington Palace. Many royal watchers speculate that she will visit with close friends who still live in the city. The Duchess is likely to meet with one of her closest friends, Jessica Mulroney, while in Toronto. Mulroney's 4-year-old daughter, Ivy, joined Princess Charlotte as one of the bridesmaids at the royal wedding.

Don't worry, though, it's totally normal for Prince Harry and Meghan to travel without each other. While many of their official royal duties will be completed together, they'll pursue their own personal causes and interests, as well. Harry traveled to Botswana on a solo trip earlier this month. "The Duke of Sussex is on a private working trip to Botswana, to join the annual general meeting for Rhino Conservation Botswana in his capacity as patron," Kensington Palace explained. "He attended the board meeting in Maun and an RCB community project in Xarakao village."

Prince Harry and Meghan are currently on a break from their official royal duties for the summer. Hopefully this quick Canadian getaway gives Meghan a break from the relentless dad drama she's been facing since her wedding. Once Meghan returns from her trip, it's likely that she and her hubby will take a trip out Balmoral Castle - Queen Elizabeth's summer home in Scotland.

When summer recess is over, Prince Harry and Meghan will resume their busy royal schedules. They're headed to Australia, Fiji, New Zealand, and the Kingdom of Tonga in the fall. The royals are also reportedly set to visit the U.S. and Canada on an official visit in the spring of 2019. "They are so excited to head to the U.S.," a palace insider told Us Weekly. "Meghan is looking forward to introducing Harry to everything she loves about the U.S."
