Woburn Family Grieve Loss of Child Who Drowned In Pool

WOBURN, MA (WBZ-AM) -- A Woburn toddler who drowned in a swimming pool earlier this week is being remembered as an energetic boy who loved to sing his ABC’s

A Go-fund-me page has been set up to help pay for funeral costs.

Relatives of 3-year-old Josae say he had a smile that was infectious. His personality was even bigger, despite being diagnosed with autism. 

He lit up light up any room. But on Tuesday, their lives turned upside down. The boy who was initially reported missing, was found unresponsive in a swimming pool. He was pronounced dead at Lahey hospital.

Renay Hamilton is the boy’s great aunt. She says his family has already gone through so much. 

They moved in with relatives in Massachusetts, after last year’s Hurricane Irma destroyed their home.

Funeral services are scheduled in Winchester next Sunday. He will be laid to rest in his home state of Florida.
