BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- Matt Grzelcyk and the Bruins put together a seemingly impossible rally Tuesday in Carolina when they scored five unanswered goals in the last 10 minutes for a 6-4 victory.

"Down 4-1, give up a short angle to start the third, probably a ton of teams would not have the resolve to come back," Grzelcyk said. "It's huge for us to do that, and something we've had all year. We'd like to obviously get off to a better start, but it's not always going to go your way every night, and we're going to need that down the stretch."

With wins in seven of eight, the B's sit just four points shy of the Predators and Lightning for the top spot in the NHL, and the Black and Gold have games in-hand on both.

Thursday night, B's will visit the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. for their first of four meetings in the final 14 games of the regular season.

Florida's only four points outside of a Wild Card spot, thanks to a great recent run. The Cats are 15-4-and-1 their last 20 games since late-January. They've also won 10 of 12 at home.

Boston's banged up. Patrice Bergeron, Charlie McAvoy, Zdeno Chara, and Jake DeBrusk are all dealing with injuries, and at least a few will miss this game.
