BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- David Krejci's Bruins split their home-and-home set with the Blackhawks after a 7-4 win at the Garden Saturday, then a 3-1 loss in Chicago Sunday.

One big difference: leading-scorer and the NHL's Second Star of the Week Brad Marchand missed the second game with an upper body injury.

"Obviously, we miss Marchie out there," Krejci said. "We were in it, we were in it 'til the end."

Marchand's day-to-day, but David Backes will return from his three-game suspension tonight when the B's avoid the bad New England weather and visit Raleigh at 7.

Boston edged Carolina in overtime to end last month. Bruins also trounced the Hurricanes 7-1 in January, so they can earn the series-sweep with another W in this one.

Boston's won six of seven, while Carolina's dropped three of four and nine of 12. The 'Canes fell 6-3 to the Rangers last night in New York.
